Charleston, SC...its beauty, its grace...its history!!

April 08, 2008 10:08AM

Hello dear friends,

How do I discribe Charleston,SC? It"s beauty, it's grace...it's history!! If you ever need a place to visit and you are not sure where to go...Charleston, SC would be a great place to go. This city has been through a lot of battles during the beginnings of it's history of town. They have been through a lot of Battles, an Earthquake....they are some of the nicest people you would ever meet.

When I first had arrived here, I had the pleasure of visiting the USS Yorktown. A mighty ship that sank during WWII. This ship that was there on the coast of Charleston was a Warship that was made just after the orginal ship was sunk. I had also had the pleasure of visiting the downtown area. The many homes and churches that surround the downtown area. They have like 185 churches within a 3 mile radius. They call this area the Holy Land...because of the many churches here.

I had the great pleasure of visiting the Magnolia Plantation Garden. This is a 500+ acre plantation of Golden Rice. Years ago, the slaves on this plantation help grow this rice and they still grow this Golden Rice, which is very popular in Europe and other parts of the world. They have an abundance of beautiful flowers, wild life and great history. This plantation had orginally over 2,000 acres, but do to the depression, many losses during the wars of there day, had to sell off like 1,500 acres in order to survive.

Magnolia Plantation Garden have a large variety of flowers/gardens, wildlife and history. They have over 500 Alligators that had found it's own way to this plantation...because of the abundance of fresh water lakes and streams. They also have a large variety of other wild animals and birds, bugs and insects. A large variety of trees that have a lot of Spanish Moss living on its trees...once the Spanish Moss falls off the trees...they then dy once it hits the ground. This plantation is in the top 8 or 9 places or homes to visit in the United States...like right behind visiting Mt. Vernon.

If I had the chance to visit this plantation, I would do it in a heart beat.

I also had the pleasure of visiting Fort Sumtor. Where a few battles were won and lost. Battles during the Revolutionalry war and Civil War to name of few. I hope I will have the chance to share these photos with you. I hope you have enjoyed the photos that I had shared so far!! Take care and God bless you all.

February 12, 2007 10:50PM

Hello dear friends,

Here I am at the West Glacier Park in Kalispell,MT. I am working up here at the airport, doing some training for the local people here in Kalispell. One Saturday...about 3 weeks ago, I took a trip to this wonderful park. It is very beautiful...I guess...from what I am told, it is more beautiful in the summer time...when the whold park is opened to the people. Here are just a few of the photo's that I had taken during that day.

For the most part, the weather has been either foggy or cloudy with snow. I think we had like 3 or 4 really nice days so far in the past 3 weeks. God is an AWESOME GOD...isn't HE!!!!!!!

Take care and God bless you all.......

It is sure 2GOOFYFORME!!!!!!!!!!
