Do you have any idea what ‘autoschediastic’ means? How about ‘masaluent’? Well, Kevin Williams hasn’t a clue either, but his ability to make up a ridiculously funny definition right off the top of his head has turned Homecoming Radio’s “Word of the Day” segment into the most popular part of the show!
Producer Phil Brower’s original idea was to scour the dictionary for an obscure, ridiculous-sounding word and then challenge the entire Homecoming Radio team—Kevin, Mark Lowry, Tori Taff and Bill Gaither—to define it. But Kevin’s lightning fast wit (and handy access to a sound effects bell) beat everyone to the punch every time, and soon his crazy, convoluted explanations turned the “Word of the Day” into his personal comic showcase. A collection of some of his funniest moments is now available on a brand new Homecoming Radio cd appropriately titled Kevin’s Wonderful World of Weird and Wacky Words.
Recorded live and unedited over a period of several Homecoming Radio tapings, Kevin’s hilarious cd contains 21 “Word of the Day” segments— and though it doesn’t sound like it, his definitions are absolutely concocted right in the studio, moments before he delivers them. As Kevin says, “I’m seldom right, but the stories will keep you laughing!”
