Here is a little more about what you will find on The Isaacs: Why Can't We:

Any album that starts out with flawless Isaacs’ a cappella harmonies on “I Believe In a Hill Called Mount Calvary” is worth getting,  for that reason alone!   But the truth is, it only gets better from there. Not possible, you think?  Believe it.

The powerhouse song, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” will simultaneously blow your mind and melt your heart. The song was written by Sonya and her husband, Jimmy, and fellow-songwriter, Ben Hayslip. Martina McBride’s rendition of the song has been climbing Country charts for several weeks now.  The Isaacs’ version is pure magic, not only because this family is ridiculously talented but also because, for them, this song is personal... inspired by Lily’s battle with breast cancer years earlier.  If you know anyone who has been through cancer (and don’t we all?) it’s a beautiful picture of how powerful love is when times get tough.

From there, the great music just keeps going, with songs that make you happy and hopeful!  It’s a great collection of music to play when you’re riding down the road with the windows down, or home alone needing encouragement. It’s joyful and encouraging, but certainly not sappy.  Songs like “I Still Trust You” and “Why” address honest, hard questions we all probably ask but seldom discuss openly.

The title song, “Why Can’t We” is a powerful look at forgiveness, not only of others but of ourselves, reminding us that if Christ can let go of all our mistakes... why can’t we?  And “Waiting In the Water” deserves a mention, as well, tackling the issue of faith truthfully and beautifully.

The Isaacs’ songwriting has never been stronger, their voices never purer, and their message never clearer than on this landmark release.  And whenever we talk about the Isaacs, we cannot neglect to mention the instrumentation -- always stellar but never too much.  They cut loose with some serious “country-bluegrass picking” a few times, including the final cut, Hallelujah Turnpike. We dare you to try to keep your foot from tapping during those wonderful moments!

All-in-all this project highlights everything audiences love most about the Isaacs... great songs, outstanding musicianship and a  message that will do every heart a world of good.
