National Day of Prayer – May 3, 2012

Back to News

I love the LORD because he hears my voice
 and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath!
Psalm 116:1-2 (NLT)

Prayer changes things.  And, even better, prayer changes us!  So just imagine what incredible things could be unleashed in our nation if we can commit to praying for spiritual transformation both personally and corporately

How fortunate we are to live in a nation where believers have the freedom to celebrate the power of prayer during this nationally recognized holiday. We encourage you to take every opportunity to exercise this freedom and join in the National Day of Prayer however you are able to observe it.

This national effort emphasizes the importance of personal repentance and prayer, as well as intercession for America’s leadership in seven key areas: government, military, media, business, education, church and family.

For resources, prayer guides, video podcasts and much more,  visit the official National Day of Prayer website here.

As you observe this one-day emphasis on prayer, you might also find the following link helpful, which offers you the opportunity to find National Day of Prayer events happening all across America. One might just be happening in your city or local community!
