Gaither Vocal Band DVD Taping Recap & Photos

Back to News

This week the Gaither Vocal Band has worked tirelessly on recording their brand new Pure And Simple DVD.  On Monday, the Gaither Vocal Band packed themselves into a vehicle (which was wired with multiple video cameras) and recorded extra footage that will be edited into the final DVD.  Then on Tuesday, October 9, the live concert footage was filmed at Citation Support in Nashville for a select audience of friends, family, artists, songwriters and Gaither.com members.

The set design gave this taping a warm, vintage ambiance, complete with antique gas pumps, metal signs and a “front porch” feel that stays true to the honest, acoustic-driven sound which defines the Pure And Simple album. Not only was the taping visually stunning, the incredible content of the songs and the musicality of every performance made this Pure And Simple taping one of the strongest Gaither Vocal Band events ever captured for DVD. (We are quite sure you will agree!)

The Pure And Simple DVD is scheduled to release in February 2013, and will contain many of the songs from the GVB’s latest CD release, a few bonus songs, plus guest performances by The Booth Brothers, Joey & Rory, and Angela Primm, who was backed by the Voices of Lee. Until February, watch for more details on the Pure And Simple DVD!   We can’t wait for you to see it!  In the meantime, we hope you enjoy a few photos we captured during rehearsals, plus behind-the-scenes moments from the Vocal Band’s on-location filming day.
