Welcome Christmas with Music

Back to News

As we begin a new season of celebrating Christ’s birth, we invite you to engage all your five senses in this year’s celebration. In the spirit of the Homecoming family’s recent book collaboration,  A Homecoming Christmas: Sensing the Wonders of the Season, Gaither.com will continue the theme of celebrating with your five senses.

We won’t give away what’s inside the book, though, we promise.  We simply want to remind you to engage your mind, heart and soul in the celebration of Immanuel using all five senses!  Our prayer is that you will let the Incarnation story sink into your heart as never before through sounds, tastes, smells, sights, and hands-on experiences throughout December.

Here are two suggestions to get you started with your ears and your eyes!

LISTEN…

If you could use an encouraging night of music before Christmas, the Homecoming Christmas Tour begins this weekend!  Here is where you will find all our Christmas Tour dates.

Also, whether you are at work or at home, access Gaither.com Christmas Radio anytime now through the start of 2012!  We play Christmas music 24-hours a day, 7 days a week from now through New Year’s! To launch Christmas Radio, simply click on the earphones at the top right-hand corner of Gaither.com’s home page.

OPEN YOUR EYES…

Remember take in the beauty all around you this season! This morning in Indiana, the sun rose in a multi-colored sky to reveal a thick layer frost coating every blade of grass and every leaf and pine needle.  Steam rose from ponds for miles around and the landscape looked like a sparkling winter wonderland!

Beauty is powerful and moving.  So enjoy the sights and feel free to brighten any dark corners you run across with some lights, a little greenery perhaps… signs of life!  Let your eyes lead you to a new appreciation of the Creator and the incredible gift of His Son!

Here is a photo of Bill and Gloria next to the Christmas tree in their living room!
